Virtually silent running with Silent-Blocks
Most fan noise is created by the fan motor its self. The silenta fan motor is 30% quieter than standard fans. Normally, in extractor fans, the vibrations are transmitted to the surrounding areas, while in silenta extractor fans the vibrations are absorbed within the motor casing, thus insuring virtually silent operation.
Long life, low energy motors
All silenta kitchen extractor fans are fitted with "sealed for life" ball bearing motors, which guarantee long life operation (over 30,000 hours). That's almost 25% longer than most extractor fans.
Back draught shutters fitted as standard
Long gone are the ugly, slow opening shutters normally placed at the front of an extractor fan. The Silenta range has 'butterfly wing' effect shutters fitted out of the way at the back of the fan. The shutter is operated by the pressure of the air when the fan is switched on and gently closes to prevent air entry and heat leakage from the room. As the shutter is lightweight, it has very little effect on the fans performance, thus maintaining high efficiency.
Humidity sensor option
This option has a built-in electronic humidity sensor. This allows the fan to operate when the room environment reaches a preset level of humidity. This feature allows the humidity level to be adjusted inside the fan from 60 to 90% RH (relative humidity).
Motion detector option
This motion sensing option uses a PIR (passive infra-red detector). The silent extractor fan starts when warm movement is detected within a maximum distance of 4 metres from the fan. This option offers total automatic operation. The fan can be pre-set to continue to run for up to 30 minutes after you have left the room.
