Naturally effective extraction

The GHN humidity sensitive extract grille is the perfect solution for the passive stack ventilation of kitchens, toilet, bathrooms, shower rooms and wet rooms. Its robust and reliable humidity sensor ensures optimum performance at all the times, with remarkable longevity.

The GHN extract grille provides increased airflow when demand is high (as determined by the level of humidity), and reduced airflow when demand is low. This means of control prevents over ventilation during cold periods in winter, when thermal draught is at its greatest, and offers a much improved energy performance over uncontrolled passive stack ventilation.

With the GHN grille (and humidity sensitive air inlets), passive stack systems can be classed good practice , (or best practice when used as part of a hybrid system) by the Energy Saving Trust's Good Practice Guide (GPG268).

The Aereco humidity controlled extract grille is designed specifically for passive stack systems. it is the only grille that is completely mechanical and requires no electricity what so ever. A specially designed nylon strip mounted inside the grille reacts to relative humidity changes.

Humidity Sensitive Operation

The centrally mounted nylon strip contracts inside the grille when humidity increases. This in turn opens the grille allowing airflow to pass.

Accurate operation

The humidity sensor is very accurate and will start to open at 30% relative humidity, until fully open up to 65% relative humidity.

As you will see from the attached chart that the airflow range at 10 Pa is between 15-75 m3/hour, thus exeeding Building Regulation requirements for
